Volunteers are the backbone of the Valiant Air Command. We operate with the minimum of paid staff and our community of Volunteers are responsible for most of the major activities in the museum - from maintaining and flying aircraft, to educating and guiding our visitors or to organizing our social and special events - we are always looking for good people to join the VAC family.

Many volunteers start out as Tour Guides in our museum, then move into an area that interests them. We ask a minimum commitment of 4 hours a week, but most people do much more.

Our volunteers are from a cross section - some have spent years in aviation, some have no idea about warbirds but are interested in finding a rewarding opportunity to support the community. The minimum age for volunteer applications is 18 - there is no upper age requirement!

Becoming a VAC volunteer is a simple, three step process. First, review the current open opportunities, then register your application. Your application will be evaluated and someone from our personnel team will be in contact.

Volunteers are provided training and mentorship and in some positions are required to serve a probationary month.

Once you are accepted as a volunteer, you can manage your volunteer activity via your own web page.

We hope you will take a look and consider becoming a VAC Volunteer! Please take a look at the links below.

PLEASE NOTE - WE EVALUATE APPLICATIONS WHEN WE HAVE OPENINGS ON OUR TEAM. - YOU WILL NOT BE CONTACTED UNTIL WE HAVE AN OPENING THAT MAY SUIT YOUR SKILLS AND INTERESTS
Some volunteer positions are subject to FAA and other agency regulations and may require background checks, drug screening or other public safety verification. VAC maintains a strict policy of equal opportunity for all volunteer applications )
